About Us
Our Purpose
Encuentro Ministries exists to enable Christian leaders for
effective ministry through pastoral care, skills development and
networking of resources to pastors, planters, para-church
ministry leaders, and church leaders, in ministry with
Hispanics. See our Ministries

Our
History
Carlos Dario Peralta and
J. Miriam Chacón-Peralta are ordained clergy. Carlos’
undergraduate work in Argentina was in theology. Miriam
completed her undergraduate work at Purdue University in Spanish
and French Language and Literature. Carlos Dario holds a Masters
Degree in Divinity and a Masters Degree in Arts from Northern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL. Miriam holds a
Masters Degree in Divinity and a Masters Degree in Christian
Education from NBTS, and a Masters Degree in Latin-American
Studies from the University of Chicago.
Carlos Dario and Miriam have served as local church pastors, new
church planters, they have taught as adjunct faculty in
seminary, in training programs both national and international,
for Hispanics and other church leaders. For many years, Carlos
was an itinerant evangelist, preaching and teaching throughout
the U.S. and Latin America. Miriam’s leadership in national
executive denominational ministries has gifted Hispanics and
Anglo constituents alike.
On their own, they have organized and led conferences,
workshops, seminars and programs. As speakers and as biblical
teachers they have served in several countries. Over the years,
they have worked with pastors, para-church leaders, and various
church leaders, as counselors, advisors, mentors, and coaches,
helping these men and women bring balance their ministry and
life.
They share a call to care for ministry leaders and a passion for
passing on skills and learnings with others, and for seeing
people come to Christ. In the latter part of their life, they
aspire to multiply themselves by working particularly with
leaders in church settings and/or organizations that reach
others for Christ. As a team, their desire is to enable
leadership to be more effective for the Kingdom of God, and
assist leaders in making a balanced life and ministry, a
reality.
Our
Organizational Structure
Encuentro Ministries
is currently composed and guided of a Board of Directors. To

Directors page. Carlos D.
Peralta and J. Miriam Chacón Peralta currently serve as
co-directors of the ministry. Encuentro Ministries was granted
501(c)3 status by the Internal Revenue Service in the fall of
2006.
Our
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to
be the authoritative, inspired Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three
persons: Father Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin
birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious
and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father,
and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life of purpose.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost;
they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that
are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus
Christ.
